‘I always wonder why birds choose to stay in the same place when they can fly anywhere on the earth, then I ask myself the same question.’
Harun Yahya —
Some people say that destiny is the sum of our daily decisions and that sometimes, you have to get lost in order to find yourself. This means you have to CHANGE.
When I say change, I mean real change. I mean the kind of change that takes you from where you are now, to where you really want to be. There’s something quite amazing about it as much as it is also challenging. It feels so nice to feel so free, to move, to be in different surroundings and let it all go. This is the kind of change where you feel like you’re not the same person you were before, and everything around you has changed as a result. And you just know when it’s time to open a fresh chapter in your life-long book and get ready to fill the pages.
I’ve always had this thing about change. To leave everything behind, reset life and start from scratch where no one knows your name. New identity, new hairstyle, new clothes, new home, new people surrounding you, new language. This is a huge challenge, and challenge is essential.
I’ve been dying of excitement for the last few months to share with you the details of the journey ahead of me. I have always seen life as a roller coaster, but this time the real ride has just begun.
So I packed my entire life, dreams and hopes & started university and a new life in the south of France.
To be honest, I still have to pinch myself to the idea that I am living on my own on the French Riviera and waking up seeing palm trees, the sea and La Promenade des Anglais. It feels like such a big deal to have a new address and not living with my parents anymore. Am I an adult yet?!
Not going to lie, this change is not easy at all. Leaving everything – family, friends, a career – it’s hard as hell. All I’m saying is that hard times build us and make us stronger than ever, so it’s worth it! I’m going through a huge cocktail of emotions. It’s madness – so many things to organize, to take care of and.. after all, try to accomodate to my new life and to find my rythm. Dancing through life seems a good idea, doesn’t it? Beginnings are always hard but oh.. so beautiful! I’m just trying to be social, to meet new people and make new friends, get familiar with the french crowd, over all. A healthy balance is everything in life.
As I moved 2500 km away from home, my little bro who took pictures for my blog had to return home – this was definitely the hardest part since we are inseparable! I would like to leave here a little note: If you live in Nice, you are passionate about streetstyle photography or photography in general and you would like to help me with my blog pictures, just leave me a comment/send me a message! I would be so grateful for a little help.
Also, if you would like to know more about my university or my courses / you’d like to be an international student and you want to hear my side of the story, do not hesitate to contact me! I know how hard it is to want something so badly and to feel a bit lost in an ocean of informations and stuff to remember. I’d be happy to help you if I can. ♥
