Tonight I’m taking you on a long walk and we will get lost in the beautiful city of Arona, Italy. I’ll give you some inspiration in this short and sweet travel article, all you have to do is grab a snack and relax!
You know me for quite a while now. Maybe you figured out that I live for exploring, getting lost and walking without any goal in my mind, with no destination in particular. No thoughts, just admiring the beauty around me. These endless walks help me explore myself as well as new places. Blame it on the curiosity and inner desire to learn more and more about the world – It never stops fascinating me. I always try to make a little break for a walk in the middle of a busy day to clear my mind.
We discovered Arona thanks to our italian friends during our holidays in Milan and I could not be more grateful for that! This little city in northern Italy is a little temple of peace. It’s a bit far from Milan, (65km) but trust me, it’s worth it.
The first thing you will notice is the Lake Maggiore, the view is breathtaking. Arona is very close to Switzerland, and I think it has some swiss air flowing around. Also, the transport by boat is available to both sides of the lake up to Locarno. So if you have time, you can get lost in the dreamy Switzerland as well!
The little streets of Arona were so charming, elegant and simply beautiful. So many beautifully dressed people and high quality boutiques. A paradise! There is nothing more relaxing than a walk by the lake and then a long shopping therapy with high quality italian brands. Who’s in?
The Lake Maggiore is a feast for good food lovers. I mean.. the best pasta and gelato in the world are found in every corner and you can wave goodbye to your diet (try the restaurants on Corso G. Marconi).
I hope you guys enjoy these pictures by Tudor Petrica! Dream on!
