“Thank God it’s Christmas!”
In my vision, the holiday season is all about spending time with our loved ones, a time to remember and appreciate how blessed we are. We have time to breathe, think and figure everything out. It’s the time when our minds recover that pure state of childlike innocence as we forget any worries, preconceptions and judgments. Instant bliss!
It’s all about taking the time to appreciate the little things – the gifts under the tree (Or let’s admit it, some of us are already on the naughty list so forget the part with the gifts), the colorful Christmas lights, writing cards, stuffing your face with delicious food at family dinners, snow (Girl, I’m still waiting for you), the stockings hanging everywhere in the house or sneaking a smooch under the mistletoe..
I just love Christmas! The perfect time for a cozy night every now and again that we all deserve.
All I want to do bake cookies, snuggle, snuggle and snuggle wearing my unattractive socks and maybe sit on a cozy couch by the fireplace. Too bad I don’t have a fireplace, so maybe I’ll set a fire here, right on my carpet..
Now since this is a fashion blog (you almost forgot, right?) let’s talk about.. fashion! During the winter season, I would never say no to 10 extra layers. If you are my friend, you already know that my hands are ALWAYS frozen and I like to warm them up on your neck/back. This outfit did it’s job pretty well – it kept me warm while still looking kinda cute and simple. The little gold details bring to life this black, otherwise boring skirt. I feel like the almost-fancy-looking bag is the star of the show. So little, but it makes this outfit pop. Believe it or not, I got it from Meli Melo.
I love playing with textures and colors, but the desire to wear all my sweaters at once is always winning during winter. Kind of a challenge to look stylish and stay warm, don’t you think?
I’m off to bed again to watch Frozen and sip another cup of hot chocolate, I hope you enjoy the pictures! <3
